Final year student killed in Rivers State University after final exam

Tragedy struck yesterday at the Rivers State University as a final year student in the faculty of Agriculture, was gunned down by suspected rival cultists.

The deceased who was identified as Prince Tuaka was reportedly shot dead by the unknown assailants at the university campus a few hours after his final year exams.

According to an eye witness accounts,  the deceased was accosted by two men opposite the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, female hostel and shot at close range.

The shooting led to pandemonium in the university as students and workers scamper for safety.

Prince Tauaka, according to sources is said to be a member of the Vikings confraternity.

Although, the University was yet to comment on the matter, sources said there have been cult-related killings around the university campus recently.

The sources said at least five students have been gunned down in the past one week due to the cult clash.
