Militants kill two security Operatives in Warri

Atleast two security men, a mobile police man and personnel of DSS have been
reportedly killed by militants, in Escravos, Warri, Delta State.

Five others we gathered sustained gun wounds and are being treated in an undisclosed
hospital in Delta while the corpses of the two security agents is said to have
been deposited in a undisclosed morgue.

The militants we learnt attacked an oil field operated by NECONDE ENERGY
LIMITED, a joint venture operation with Nigeria Petroleum Development
Company (NPDC) in Escravos and murdered the two officers.

At the time of this report, it was not yet clear how much the militants made away with or what their motives were during the attack, but
we learnt operations at the flow station have been suspended as a result of the deadly attack.

Officials of the indigenous oil firm and the police are yet to react on the matter.
