Iwobi joins Ronaldo, Neymar on Nike’s deal

By: Felix Ikpotor

Super Eagles young midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has pened a deal with Nike as an athlete.

The 19-year-old whose form pushed him into the Arsenal first team towards the end of the 2016/2016 season managed two goals in the Premier League against Everton and Watford.

According to a video on YouTube, Iwobi expressed his admiration for the sportswear giants and revealed his first pair of boots were the Mercurial Vapours worn by legendary Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry.

“I’ve always been a fan, and to be associated with players like Neymar, (Cristiano) Ronaldo, (Mario) Gotze (who are) big players, and to say I’m involved with that is just an honour,” Iwobi said.
