Head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 team, Samson Siasia, has maintained that his team can do well at the 2016 Olympics, despite the non-availability of some invited foreign-based players.
The Dream Team VI at the moment, are preparing for the competition in Atlanta, USA, without players like John Mikel Obi, Moses Simon, Kenneth Omeruo and Godfrey Oboabona.
However, media officer of the team, Timi Ebikagboro, says their preparations are still on track.
“We are going ahead with or without the foreign pros, no player can hold us hostage,” Ebikagboro quoted Siasia as saying.
Nigeria are grouped alongside Japan, Sweden and Colombia in group B.
