Manager of English champions, Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri, has stated that Algerian international Riyad Mahrez is being distracted by speculation surrounding his future.
The player has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer, with the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger in the stands, as Paris Saint-Germain defeated the Foxes 4-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Mahrez became hot in demand, after he scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists, to help Leicester won their first ever Premier League title last season.
“Maybe Riyad is distracted a bit by all of these rumours and speculation,” Ranieri said.
“But that is also an experience for my players.
“It is important that he understands that he should stay with us. He has to improve his fitness and play for the team as well as last season.”
