Wike moves to tackle traffic congestion

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has moved to tackle traffic challenges in front of the Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt.

Wike spoke on Friday when he led the Project Manager of Julius Berger, Mr. Petr Rafusta and State Commissioner for Works, Architect Harrison Iheanyichukwu on a feasibility study of the road stated that the road will be dualised.

He noted that the dualization of the road would require the foreign currency dealers in front of the Hotel Presidential to be relocated.

The governor also stated that stretch of Aba road around Rumuola flyover would be expanded to improve the free flow of traffic in the area.

He also supervised the ongoing reconstruction of Onne Road in GRA Phase 2 in Port Harcourt.
