The source said a corpse of the slain boy has been recovered and deposited in an unknown morgue while officers of the Nigerian Army have taken over security in the area.

Similarly, officials of the Bayelsa Waterways Security Taskforce, yesterday, arrested some persons suspected to be masterminds of the attack on a military post in the Nembe area of the state that led to the death of three soldiers.

The Taskforce which is led by an ex-militant leader, Africanus Ukparasia (AKA General Africa) arrested the suspects at Olugbobiri community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, LGA, of the state based on an intelligence tip-off..

The militants who had earlier attacked the army at Tombi Jetty in Ogolomabiri, escaped with military gunboats, rifles, arms and other ammunition, after they ambushed the task force who were at a checkpoint.
