Rivers governor dissolves 17 local government caretaker committees

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has dissolved the Caretaker Committees of 17 Local Government Areas of the state.

The dissolution was contained a statement  made available to newsmen by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.

The statement said the dissolution takes immediate effect while the CTC members are to hand over  to the most senior officials  in their  respective councils.

According to the statement, the following Local Government Caretaker Committees were affected by the governor’s decision:

Abua/Odual

Akuku Toru

Ahoada East

Andoni

Bonny

Eleme

Emohua

Etche

Ikwerre

Obio/Akpor

Ogu/Bolo

Okrika

Ogba/Egbema /Ndoni

Omuma

Oyigbo

Port Harcourt City

Tai
