Reports say a former local government caretaker committee chairman under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Okitipupa Local Government Area, Ondo State, southwest Nigeria, Evangelist Niyi Pirisola has been reportedly assassinated by unknown gunmen.
He was killed by unidentified gunmen in the early hours of Friday.
A source told Saharareporters that, “He was killed in the early hours of today (Friday) at about 3:00 am while returning from a branch of Celestial Church of Christ at Ilutuntun in his hometown.”
This is coming just as the governorship elections in the state is around the corner.
