Buhari names Oji Ngofa, 45 others as ambassadorial nominees

President Muhammadu Buhari has nominated a former chairman of Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Oji Ngofa as an ambassador.

Ngofah is among  the 46 names submitted to the Senate for screening and confirmation by the President.

He was before  his nomination, the national organizing secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Among the nominees are Pauline Tallen, Olorunibe Mamora and Musa Ibeto who was formerly nominated minister before his nomination was withdrawn in 2015.

Mr. Mamora, a former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, was also a member of the Senate. He is an ally of ex-Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu.

Ms. Tallen is a former Plateau State deputy governor while Mr. Ibeto is a former Niger State deputy governor.
