NYSC releases call-up letters for Batch B, camp opens Thursday

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced that prospective corps members, can now print out their call-up letters for the 2016 Batch B Stream 1 orientation course.

This was communicated via their official Twitter handle in the early hours of Monday. It  has also released the timeline for the camp registration.

The tweet said: “Callup Letter can now be printed for PCMs slated for Stream 1. They are to login to their respective dashboard with their email & password.

“If the Print Callup Letter link is not on the dashboard, it means PCM is slated for Stream 2 scheduled for Jan 2017. No cause for alarm.

“Registration in the camp for Stream 1, 2016 Batch ‘B’ commences on Thursday 24th November & closes by 12 midnight on the 25th November 2016.”

This comes after all the uncertainty as to whether the orientation course will take place, after the presidency wrote to the Senate, asking for funds to mobilize corps members.

In October, the NYSC contacted various universities across the country, advising them to reduce the number of students to be sent for mobilisation

Last week, the new Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier-General Sule Kazaure, confirmed that it would hold as planned

Kazaure revealed that the scheme can only cater for 86,000 out of the 170,000 eligible for the next service year, but will make sure the rest partake.

The 2016 Batch ‘B’ stream II are expected to commence orientation in January 2017.
