2017 Budget: Buhari to address joint session of National Assembly

In keeping with his promise of presenting the Appropriation Bill for the 2017 fiscal year in December, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday wrote to the Senate, seeking an audience with the joint session of the National Assembly.

 President of the senate , Bukola Saraki who read the letter in plenary said President Buhari said the joint session was needed to officially brief the Legislators on, “the 2017 budget proposal and plans to get the country out of recession.”

The President shall be addressing the joint session of both the Senate and the House of Representatives on Wednesday, 14th December 2016 by 10:00 hours.
