Rivers: RIWAMA cancels monthly sanitation exercise

By: Felix Ikpotor

The Rivers State government has cancelled this month’s sanitation exercise.

This was made known by the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, Bro Felix Obuah.

The RIWAMA boss who made this known in a statement did not give reasons for the cancellation but, however, called on residents and all those doing business in Port Harcourt, the State capital, its environs and in the various LGAs, to endeavour to clean up their surroundings and dispose of their wastes at the approved receptacles.

According to him, a safe and healthy living should not be taken for granted by any resident in the State, as the Agency is doing everything possible to ensure that the state is at the peak of waste management and environmental cleanliness.
