Rivers govt to complete projects in dry season

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that his  administration will maximally  use the  dry season to drive the completion  of several key projects.

Speaking after the inspection  of key projects on Tuesday, Governor Wike  noted that all the key contractors  in the state have been mobilised  to work hard within the period.

Governor Wike was accompanied on the project inspection by Senator Lee Maeba.

The governor noted that contractors working at various project sites  in the three senatorial districts are living up to the expectations of the state government.

He expressed happiness that the projects are positively  impacting communities, noting that no area will be left out by his administration.

He said: “We are effectively utilising the dry season to ensure we get the desired mileage in projects execution.

“So far, we have done a lot of work and we are getting value for money . The fact that we are using first class contractors like Julius Berger, RCC, Rayfour, CCECC is paying  off with the quality of projects delivered  to the people”.

The governor said that the appreciation shown by the people  along different project routes serve  as encouragement  to his administration to sustain the level of performance.

Some of the project sites inspected by  Governor Wike include: Bonny-Nembe-Bille Jetty, Creek Road, Judges Quarters, Woji-Akpajo Bridge, Garrison-Trans-Amadi-Elelenwo Road and Elelenwo-Akpajo Road.
