Nigeria vs DR Congo: Lokosa, Nwankwo to start

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has revealed that the newly invited Super Eagles duo of Junior Lokosa and Simeon Nwankwo, will start the friendly match against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday (Today) in Port Harcourt.

Rohr made this known in a chat with reporters, after the team’s training session on Sunday evening.

In his words: “Some of our players I have to see, especially Simeon and Lokosa.

“They will start tomorrow (Monday).”

The game will be played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Kick-off is 5pm.

Rohr is expected to trim down his squad after the match, before they fly out to London to face the Three Lions of England on June 2.

The duo have put up scintillating performances for their respective clubs this summer especially Lokosa who is currently the top scorer in the Nigeria Premier Football League
