Reps: Amosun’s candidate, three other defect to other parties

Preferred governorship candidate of  Ogun Satte governor, Ibikunle Amosun for the All Progressives Congress, APC,  Adekunle Akinlade has dumped the ruling party to the Allied People’s Movement (APM).

Mr Akinlade, who lost to Dapo Abiodun at the recently conducted APC governorship primary in Ogun State, defected alongside three other members of the House of Representatives.

The other members are Rabiu Kaugama (Jigawa) who moved from the PDP to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mohammed Ajanah (Kogi) from APC to PDP and Salisu Koko (Kebbi) from APC to SDP.

This defection is coming barely a few days to the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  for the substitution  of governorship candidates by parties.
