Ikokwu4: Police transfer E-Crack commander

 Commander of Eagle Crack Unit, that allegedly tortured  a mechanic in Port Harcourt, Chima Ikwunado to death has been transferred.

The Rivers State  Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura, revealed this  during a meeting with family of the late mechanic.

Daura said Superintendent of Police(SP) Benson Adetuyi was redeployed to ensure transparency in the investigation of  Ikwunado’s death in detention.

Five officers have been arrested over the death of the mechanic, including a female officer who grabbed his manhood while he was being tortured.

The CP assured the family of late Ikwunado that the Police will not shield anybody found culpable.

He also revealed that they will take the family of late Chima to see his corpse on Monday 10 February 2020 and also conduct another autopsy to ascertain the true cause of his death.

 The Commissioner who condoled with the family over the death of their son said he became aware of the incident after it began trending on social media.

He said that he has been directed by the force headquarters to investigate the matter and submit a report on it.

The Police Commissioner also appealed to the family to exercise patience while investigation and autopsy are being carried out to enable them properly persecute the matter.

In the main time,  General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere said they want justice to be done over the death of late Chima Ikwunado.

The clergyman who was part of the visit stated this while speaking with newsmen at the police headquarters in Port Harcourt.

The meeting was facilitated by the traditional ruler of Ubima and General overseer of Omega Power Ministry Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere.
