Rivers SWAN mourns Omineokuma-Kile’s death

 Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Rivers State chapter mourn has joined other sports lovers in the state to mourn the death  of Chief Omineokuma-Kile.

Omineokuma-Kile before his death was the  vice chairman of Rivers State Football Association.

This was contained in a statement, Monday, by Dianabasi Effiong, secretary of the interim management committee of Rivers SWAN,

It described the death of Chief Omineokuma-Kile as a big loss to the football fraternity and sports administration as a whole.

The statement recalls that while alive, late Omineokuma-Kile represented dignity, grace, humility, love and open-mindedness.

Other part of the statement reads thus: “He was such a gentle soul, whose doors were always open to all, regardless of race, religion and social background”.

“As sports writers, we found him an integral part of us as he always gave useful insights into topical issues as regards football administration and officiating”.

“We will surely miss his candour, admonitions, elderly guide and words of wisdom that intervened at telling moments”.
