NDDC: Akpabio does not administer any other oaths outside conventional oaths of office-Nagbo

Evangelist Caroline Barine Nagbo Member, Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC),Interim Management Committee(IMC) has made it categorically clear that the Minister Of Niger Delta Affairs and Former Governor Of Akwa_Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio does not administer any other oaths outside the Conventional Oaths Of Office applicable to all in the face of assumption of any office of trust, in accordance to the Constitution Of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Nagbo made the clarification while fielding questions from news men immediately after the Senate Public Hearing on NDDC at the National Assembly Complex,Abuja, insisting  that Akpabio did not give her any fetish oath.

A statement by Mr. Ikechi Akpuh, Special Assistant on Media amd Communications to Nagbo said, the Ogoni-born women rights activist as a public servant owes explanation to press whenever she is approached to give clarifications on matters regarding her office and will continuously and consciously do same without apologies to anyone.

It said, she only responded to a media interview as she was confronted with same question if she was subjected to any Oath before, during and after her appointment into the Interim Management Committee of NDDC.

The statement further: “call on all who are giving the said media interview all forms of unguided and unwarranted misinterpretations to desist forth with and repent from the politics of blackmail and grow into political adulthood by looking at issues objectively and constructively.

“However, it is important to inform the general public that Evangelist Nagbo’s rising political profile can be traceable to hardwork, dedication and commitment from her days as the First Desk Officer, Movement For The Survival Of Ogoni People (MOSOP), and very known priceless sacrifices she made as the Women Leader Of All Progressives Congress APC Rivers State between 2013 till 2018”.

“It will be very unthinkable for anyone to associate Evang. Nagbo with activities linking to attack on anyone from  Ogoni, an Ethnic nation she has fought for her unity and development from her youthful age”.

“Evangelist  Nagbo also explained to the Press that she tendered the required credentials for necessary documentation to the appropriate office”.

“Evangelist Caroline Nagbo has worked very hard and should not be dragged into the mud by those who are not comfortable and are threatened by her intimidating rising political profile”.
