Obaseki pledges support for Edo-born Ozah’s World Guinness Record attempt

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has thrown his weight behind the attempt by Edo-born artist, Eromonsele Ozah, to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest makeup application marathon, an artistic feat to place the state on the world map.

The World Guinness Record attempt is billed to hold at the Edo Innovation Hub in August.

Ozah and members of his team were presented to the governor by the Executive Director of the Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs), Mrs Ukinebo Dare, at Government House, in Benin City.

Obaseki noted that he was in support of the attempt to set a new world record and would continue to promote the successes of illustrious Edo sons and daughters who are putting the state on the world map for good.

According to Uzah, the attempt is to showcase his talent, noting that the necessary approvals have been obtained from the World Guinness Record to make attempt to set the record.

On her part, Dare said the state government is ready to fully support the challenge and would be providing the needed impetus to see to the success of the world record attempt.

According to her, “We are elated to be part of this attempt as it would put us in positive light. We also appreciate EON Management and Public Relations (PR). EdoJobs is in support of this initiative and we are proud to be part of the project.”
