Abducted Delta council boss regains freedom

The abducted Warri North Council Chairman in Delta State, Adughe Okorodudu has regained his freedom.

He was  released in the early hours of Tuesday morning by his abductors.

It was not clear if any ransom was paid for the release of the Council Chairman.

When contacted for comments, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa said, “That’s what we heard. But we are yet to get across to him. No official confirmation now, but we learnt he has been released. ”

Recall that the Council Chairman  was in the company of his driver when he was kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday night along Mabiaku road in Warri South Local Government Area.

The gunmen waylaid the Council Chairman’s vehicle and shot his driver on the leg before they whisked him to an unknown destination.
