The Ogoni Youth Federation (OYF) has suspended two ranking members of the organization for alleged sundry offenses.

Those suspended are Dimkpa Kingsley and Lene Lekue Kingsley.

This were part of the resolutions reached at the 49th National Executive Council meeting of the body held at the weekend.

According to the resolution which was signed by the President-General, Comrade Yamaabana Legborsi  and the Secretary General Comrade Ntormabari Mesua stated that the decision was reached after a thorough deliberation on the petitions/ complaints against the duo and the examination of the recommendations of the OYF Disciplinary Committee.

“After thorough deliberations on the petitions/complaints brought against Dimkpa Kingsley and Lene Lekue Kingsley and examination of the recommendation of the Ogoni Youth Federation Disciplinary Committee, the following resolutions were reached:

I n compliance with Article 10 (c) of OYF Constitution, the national executive council of Ogoni Youth Federation (OYF) unanimously suspend; Dimkpa Kingsley and Lene Lekue Kingsley from all activities of OYF indefinitely”.

OYF said the reason for suspending the two members includes, conducting themselves in a manner capable of causing disaffection amongst members of OYF and in a manner likely to cause breach of peace or otherwise capable of exposing members of OYF to public ridicule, contempt or odium, encouraging and concealing the formation of factions and divisions within OYF.

The body listed other offenses to include, receiving gratifications and other inducement and making false representation for the purpose of obtaining favour in the purported name of OYF.

Consequent, the body warned “members of the public not to deal with the above suspended members of OYF on any business that has to do with Ogoni Youth Federation (OYF). Anybody who chooses to deal with them are at their peril”.

Other signatories to the resolution includes Bro. Steve Neebee (Director Action & Mobilization), Suanu Brown (Director Programmes), Sunebari Mesua (Assistant Publicity Secretary), Bonaloo Saviour (Ex-Official), Barr. Epsibari Pyagbara (Legal Adviser), Barikuma Peter (Gokana Coordinator) and Gad Gideon Nwigbalor (Eleme Coordinator)

In the meantime, efforts to speak with the suspended members on the allegations raised against them yielded no fruit.
