By: Felix Ikpotor

Following the series of road crashes leading to loss of lives and properties on the reconstructed Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono road in Rivers State, a youth leader in the area has called on  government to direct the contractor handling the project to put a caution sign at the two roundabouts on the road.

The two roundabouts are located at Kpopie and KENPOLY junctions.

The youth leader, Engr Legborsi Yaamabana made the call while reacting to the series of accidents on the road.

Yaamabana who is the president of Ogoni Youth Federation also called for the reduction of the size of the roundabouts.

“Consequent to the cacophony of voices surrounding the sizes of Kpopie and Bori roundabouts on the ongoing Saakpenwa/Bori/Kono road and the resultant incessant accidents that has occurred on the road, we call on the contractor handling the project to put caution signs and also review the designs of the roundabouts.
