UPTH calls on public to identify unknown patient

Management of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) is now calling on members of the public to identify an elderly female patient currently being managed at the female emergency ward of the hospital.

The hospital in a statement by the Acting Public Relations Officer, Elabha Meni said the woman who gave her name as Alice Micheal was brought to the hospital by a good spirited Nigerian on accout of road traffic accident which occurred on Octoer 12, 2020 around Melt-Belt Filling Station before Nkpolu junction on the East West Road.

The statement said the patient is unstable and not appropriately coordinated to respond to questions to aide social tracing but has managed to give the name of her daughters as Chidubem, Martha and Beatrice.

The statement called on the police and members of the public that have any knowledge of the woman to approach the hospital for identification and reunion with her family.
