APC NEC expels national vice-chairman, sacks state, zonal structures

National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday, expelled Mr. Ntufam Hilliard Eta, a former National Vice Chairman, South-south.

It also dissolved states, zonal, and national  structures of the party.

This followed an emergency meeting of APC’s leaders at the Aso Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State told State House correspondents at the end of the meeting, that the party approved the expulsion of Eta for his failure to withdraw the court case instituted against the caretaker committee.

PHSpectator reports that the caretaker committee of the party had earlier appealed to all members that have cases in court to withdraw them.

The tenure of the party’s caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee led by Governor Mai Buni of Yobe State has also been extended by six months.

The  meeting was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and other party chiefs.
