Gunmen abduct female teachers in Delta

Unknown gunmen have abducted two female teachers of Ohorhe secondary school in Uvwie local government area of Delta state.

The kidnappers who came in a SUV, headed straight to the Staffroom of the school where they bundled their targets into their vehicle and went away.

Sources said efforts by community youths to stop the kidnappers failed as they  opened fire into the air to clear the way.

It was gathered that after shooting into the air to demobilise the youths, the kidnappers sped off.

The state Police command’s spokesperson, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the development and added that efforts were on to track the kidnappers and secure the release of the hostages.
