Community youths block road in Port Harcourt after clash with Task Force

Nkpogu road in the Trans Amadi axis of Port Harcourt was Monday  blocked by youths of the community after officials of the Rivers State Task Force on street trading and illegal motor parks allegedly scattered and ruined people’s shop and businesses.

Sources from the area said road users were made to use alternative routes.

According to the source, the task force team in a bid to clear illegal structures from the road went overboard and destroyed people’s goods and tables.

This led to the youths gathering and chasing them away from the area.

It is also gathered that the community youths also sent the policemen sent to the area to calm the situation away.

Road users are currently advised to use alternative routes.
