President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reconstitution of the board of the governing council of the University of Port Harcourt.
The President also appointed a former senator representing Rivers East Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Andrew Uchendu as chairman.
Other members include Mrs Kolo Uzamat, South West; D.T Hinga, North Central; Muhammed Musa Markafi, North West and Al-Ahmed Almustapha, North East.
With the reconstitution of the board, the institution is now ready to conduct an election to select a new full-time vice-chancellor.
