Police keep mum as nine headless bodies found in Calabar

About nine headless bodies were on Tuesday, discovered in a valley, outskirts of Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

It was gathered that the bodies were discovered by farmers in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said, the bodies were about nine to fifteen in number, including men and women.

It was also gathered that the location of the discovery is not far from Police checkpoint on the Calabar-Odukpani highway.

The bodies are said to have been evacuated under the supervision of the state’s Police Command.

Circumstances surrounding the decapitated bodies are yet to be known.

Meanwhile, the state police command has not issued any statement concerning the discovery, even as the area has been cordoned off by officers of the command.
