Condition of IDPS in Andoni, Khana LGAs worry Rivers ethnic youth leaders

Condition of living of  persons displaced by cult related crisis  in Andoni and Khana Local Government Areas of Rivers State is now a source of worry for indigenous youth  leaders in the state.

This was part of the issues highlighted at the congress of the Rivers State Ethnic Youth Leaders Council held in Port Harcourt.

In an address, President General of the group, Emmanuel Barinazor called on Governor Nyesom Wike to urgently intervene in the security challenges facing some parts of Andoni and Khana to enable the displaced persons  move back to their communities.

He  also advised the governor to continue with his developmental efforts especially in the decentralization of the campuses of the state-owned Rivers State University in Ahoada, Etche, Ogoni and Emohua areas.

On his part, Public Relations Officer of the group, Amie Simeon Elisha narrated the poor living condition of victims of the cult crisis in Andoni and Khana areas.

Elisha also called on the government and public-spirited individuals to assist the IDPS with food and other relief materials.

PHSpectator reports  that inhabitants have fled several communities in Andoni and Khana Local Government Areas following killings and destruction of properties.

Some are taking refuge in Kaa Community while others are staying in a church Bori.
