…Insist of riding the area of shanties

In what looked like a crime scene, a blood stained military uniform, military knife, an ATM card and a motorcycle were discovered at discovered in the popular cocaine village, at Trailer park, in Eleme local government area of Rivers State   following a visit by the executive chairman of the council, Chief Obarilormate Ollor to the area.

The items were  handed over to the police for proper investigation.

Obarilormate Ollor who led a delegation of Eleme Youths to the slump to reiterate his earlier decision to implement the directives of the state government on the demolition of all illegal structures, batchers, shanties and criminal hideouts in Onne, Trailer park,  East-West road and the entire Eleme metropolis expressed dissatisfaction at the level of criminal activities within the areas and vowed to put an end to it.

The council boss advised all occupants and owners of illegal structures within Eleme to comply with the government directives and vacate the area on or before 26th June or risk demolition.

In a chat with jouralists, Ollor reaffirmed his readiness to tackle the menace of insecurity in Eleme and restore peace in the area.

“Remember that a week ago, the Executive Governor of Rivers State Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezewon Wike gave a directive that all illegal structures be removed and as the Chief Security Officer of the Local Government, I am under that obligation”.

“What we are doing this morning is to inform them in advance and to remind them that the ultimatum still holds. So on or before 26th June, they should move out.

What we have here is a mixed population of criminals, armed robbers, drug dealers and even those who allegedly trade in human parts.

Right now we just found the uniform of an Army man who probably may have been killed. His blood all over the room and uniform, his knife and ATM card which we have given to the police.

So this morning we are here marking all the structures that are meant to be demolished on the 26th June in advance, so they don’t tell us we did not tell them or give them enough information” He said.

Areas visited include cocaine village at trailer park, Eleme new town and the Refinery depot (AP).
