Emohua Council to get bank after 30 years of existence

Emohua local government council of Rivers State will soon have a bank established in the area after 30 years of its existence.

This is just as Chairman of the council, Dr Chidi Lloyd last week met with officials of Zenith Bank Plc and United Bank for Africa (UBA) to finalise arrangements for the establishment of a branch of the banks at the council headquarters in Emohua.

Port Harcourt Spectator gathered that if the projects goes as planned, a branch of Zenith Bank and a United Bank for Africa (UBA)  ATM gallery will be established at the Local Government Headquarters.

 Lloyd who is a former Leader of the Rivers State (5th and 6th) House of Assembly, after a close-door meeting with the bank officials in his office led principal officers of the council and the bank officials to formally allocate a site for the construction of Zenith Bank Branch within the council secretariat.

While the UBA bank officials were taken on inspection of the proposed site for the ATM gallery within the council secretariat by the Council Secretary, Chief Vincent Chukwu.

The proposed Zenith Bank branch we learnt, will offer full banking services in the area on completion.

Indigenes and residents of the area while reacting to the development commended the new council chairman, Dr. Chidi Lloyd for the move, describing it as a dream come true for the people of the area and his administration if achieved.
