Ebubeagu better than Amotekun – Ikpeazu

Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the governor of Abia State says the newly established Southeastern security outfit, Ebubeagu Security Network is better than its South West counterpart, Amotekun.

Ikpeazu’s Commissioner for Information John Okiyi Kalu disclosed this on Wednesday while speaking during a radio programme in Umuahia.

According to him, the Ebubeagu security outfit has not been armed because it is not permissible on law.

He added that they have engaged in intelligence gathering which according to him they are carrying out well.

He said Ikpeazu is laying a solid foundation for sustainable development in the state, adding that the developmental strides Ikpeazu has initiated will form a building block for incoming administrations, saying there will be no need to return to them.

Kalu also expressed hope that incoming administrations in the state will continue from where the governor will stop at the expiration of his tenure in 2023.

The Commissioner said the governor has done well in this regard considering the peculiar challenges the state is facing.
