Fani-Kayode reacts over alleged death of abducted Major in NDA attack

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation has alleged that Major Christopher Datong who was abducted in Kaduna by terrorists who attacked the Nigeria Defense Academy has been murdered.

Fani-Kayode made this known on his verified Twitter page on Wednesday morning describing the news as unacceptable and indefensible.

The terrorists  broke into the NDA premises early hours of Monday, killing two army officers and abducting Datong who is now allegedly killed.

His tweet read: “The officer that was abducted by terrorists at the Nigerian Defence Academy yesterday, Major Christopher Datong, has been murdered by his abductors.

“This is unacceptable and indefensible. Worse still, this makes it a total of three military officers from the NDA that have been killed by terrorists in the last 24 hours.

Fani-Kayode urged the federal government to be harder on the terrorists by eliminating them with deadly drones.

“It is time for the FG to take a much harder line with these terrorists and I believe that every single one of them ought to be eliminated with deadly drone attacks and carpet bombing by the Nigerian Air Force,” he wrote.

The former minister demanded that the military apprehend those responsible for the attack on NDA and the murder of military officers to restore peace to Nigeria.

“If we want peace in our nation they must be hunted down and utterly crushed. Any person or group of people that seek to destabilise our country through violence or shed the blood and take the life of any of our compatriots for ANY reason whatsoever are not worthy of life.

“I call for an all out military offensive against the terrorists and their foreign backers and sponsors. If it means our military chasing them in hot pursuit into countries like Niger Republic, Mali, Burkina Faso and Chad then so be it.”

the Defense Headquarters was yet to give update on the whereabouts of Datong at the time of this report, but it had earlier said troops were on the trail of the invaders.
