Gunmen rob bank ATM in RSU

The Automated Teller Machine, ATM, at the motor park in Rivers State University, Port Harcourt was Wednesday morning, robbed by gunmen dressed in Nigerian Police uniform.

The incident happened at about 3:00 am.

 The gunmen reportedly carried out the operation successfully without any resistance from the security operatives stationed at the school’s main gate.

According to eyewitness reports, the gunmen dressed in Nigerian Police uniform ordered the school security personnel on duty to open the gate. From there, the armed men went straight to the Polaris Bank, tied up the shuttle drivers who slept at the park as well as the security personnel guarding the ATM.

The gunmen also went away with the a shuttle belonging to one of the drivers who slept at the park.

Although, the management of Polaris Bank is yet to disclose the amount of money that was lost in the attack, Public Relations Officer of the school, Harcourt Whyte while responding to inquiries, confirmed the incident.
