Khana council partners NDBDA on agriculture

Chairman of Khana local government area in Rivers State,  Dr.Thomas Bariere has stated his resolve to partner the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority in agricultural training.

The Khana  council boss stated this when he hosted the management of the authority in his office in Bori.

 Bariere thanked who thanked the team for the visit, explained  that agricultural reforms is one cardinal programme of his administration.

He said, “during the electioneering campaign, we promised Khana people that we will prioritise agriculture when we assume office, This agricultural training is one programme this administration is keen on investing in”.

He added: “As a council we are willing to fully partner with the NDBDA in the agricultural training scheme”.

Dr. Summerset Biolet, Executive Director, NDBDA, who led the delegation expressed his delight over the intended partnership.

He assured the council that the agency is obliged to any venture that will benefit the people of Khana.

He further stated that he was excited over the programme since the people of Khana are predominantly farmers.
