Rivers: Driver, two others cheat death as container falls under Eliozu flyover

Tragedy was averted early  morning Tuesday when a trailer conveying an industrial container fell under the Eliozu Flyover, damaging some sections of the road and blocking access to the Rukpokwu-Airforce axis of the G.U Ake Road.

The driver and two passengers who accompanied him are said to have sustained minor injuries, and were taken away by a team of police officers stationed by the Eliozu Flyover.

Eyewitnesses  said that a loud noise was heard which woke many residents of the area, and were afraid that it may be a petrol tanker.

It was also gathered that the accident may have occurred as a result of over speeding.
