All is not well with Rivers APC-Chioma

Former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Etche constituency 2, has said that all is not well with the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), due to the lingering crises emanating from the 2018 ward congresses.

Speaking on a live radio programme monitored in Port Harcourt on Thursday, he stated that the impasse is one of the oldest among the crises rocking the various chapters in Nigeria, as it has not a state executive committee since then, till date.

He maintained that some members of the party have had cause to go as far as the Supreme Court to ensure that justice prevail for individuals and not trample on their fundamental rights.

Chioma who is a former Leader of the State Assembly insisted that they were hopeful that the Reconciliatory Committee as set up by the National Executive Committee of the party would be able to resolve in its wisdom, all animosities bedeviling the party.

“For us to participate in the forthcoming congress, we’ll need all our petitions to be properly resolved as people who bought forms for the previous processes were denied participation.

“As you can tell, the problem of this party in the state has been the problem of exclusion attempt by the leadership of the party.

“The previous congresses cannot be said to have been held as it did not follow due process”,  he posited.
