National Convention: PDP’s fate hanging as Appeal Court reserves ruling for tomorrow

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will have to wait till Friday, October 29, 2021 to know whether it will proceed with it’s National Convention slated for Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31 at the Eagles Square, Abuja or not.

This is as the Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt today, reserved ruling to noon on Friday, October 29 in the suit instituted by the suspended National Chairman of the of the party, Prince Uche Secondus challenging his suspension and the legality of the National Convention.

Secondus, had through his Counsel, Payo Oyetubo asked the court to suspend the convention and allow him the right to preside over it.

When the matter was brought for hearing at about 12:46pm today, about 11 respondents represented by about 10 SANs presented themselves before the judge.
