Rivers council boss names school after Wike

Khana Local Government Council in Rivers State has named the newly built primary school in Nyowii Baen after the state governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Speaking shortly after a meeting with top officers of the council, the chairman Dr. Thomas Bariere stated that the resolution was reached as a way of immortalizing the legacies of the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief  Nyesome Ezenwo Wike owing to his developmental strides and transformative footprints across the entire state.

He said, “the entire F&GPC of Khana Local Government Council resolved that the newly built school by the Khana Local Government in Nyowii Baen be named after the Executive Governor of Rivers State. This justification has come as a result of the transformative projects that have changed the lives of Rivers people”.

The Khana council boss further stated that the developmental strides already initiated across the council by his administration is because they have decided to follow the roadmap of project execution already initiated by the governor.

“As a government, we feel it’s important for people to continue to remember, that Gov. Wike has left a legacy that will stand the test of time and serve as a model for governments even after his time in office”.

He however, declared that naming the school after the governor of Rivers State is his administration’s way of expressing gratitude for all he has done for Khana indigenes and Rivers people at large.
