Amaechi’s stubbornness reason behind Rivers APC crisis-Okocha

Chief Tony Okocha, a former Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Government and a prominent ally of Senator Magnus Abe, has blamed Transportation Minister, Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi, for the lingering crisis bedeviling the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Okocha claimed that the failure of Amaechi of his former boss to listen to superior advice has continued to fuel the upheavals in the party.

Speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt, Okocha also said there is a high degree of ineptitude in the leadership of the party.

He said problem started in the party when some persons tried to undo others, adding that no politician will stand aloof and watch another outwit them.

“No politician will stand aloof and watch the other one outwit him. Politics is a game of wit, but you don’t need to stand aloof. Failure is the ability for anybody to do nothing,” he said.

“This does not speak well of the party. There is a high degree of ineptitude in the leadership of the party. A party that is deeply rooted and robust like the APC in Rivers State ought to speak in one voice,” he added.
