Traditional ruler charges subjects to embrace God, desist from evil

The people of Omofo and Rundele Clan, in Emohua local government area of Rivers State have been charged to embrace God and shun  evil.

Paramount ruler of the community,  HRH, Eze Edison Umezurike Omeodu gave the charge at his country home, Omofo while admonishing his subjects on the need to serve and give God his rightful honour and praise.

Omeodu who spoke at the end of a 3-day prayer programme organized by the Omofo Christian Liberation Movement with theme; “Fear Not, Keep Moving Forward”, said God has been very faithful to the community.

The monarch commended the Christian body for organizing the annual programme.

“We must capture Omofo for God. I am urging all sons and daughters of Omofo to desist from evil, all those involved in one wicked act or the other should stop.

“I am calling for more support for this program”.

Leader of Omofo Christian Liberation Movement, Deacon Clement Wuzor in his remark said the essence of the programme was to thank God for his faithfulness in the land in 2021 and also dedicate the new year, 2022 to God.

Wuzor who thanked people for turning up for the programme, declared that 2022 would be a fruitful year and prosperous year for Omofo and Rundele Clan at large.

He charged the people especially youths to embrace God and worship him with all their heart.

“There is need to worship God. It is not easy to live to see the end of the year, it’s no man’s doing but God alone. Our youths, I charge you to always get involved in the things and services of God”, he advised.
