Rivers monarch vows to fight illegal refining in his domain

Paramount ruler of  Apara Kingdom in Rivers State, HRM, Eze Chike Amadi Worlu Wodo (JP) says he would not tolerate the activities of illegal refiners, popularly known as ‘kpofire’  in his domain.

To this end, he has directed his subjects to report anybody involved in the illegal business to him for onward handover to the security agents for prosecution.

Wodo gave the warning in a  meeting he held with Apara Kingdom Chiefs, elders, leaders and youths at Obiri Ehie Apara in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

The monarch said he was determined to support the  Governor of Rivers State,  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike chase away those in the illegal business in order to have a clean and healthy environment for people living and doing business in the state.

He commended Governor Wike for his developmental projects, stressing that Apara people were solidly behind him.

He advised his subjects to continue to maintain the existing peace in the area, while urging them to report anybody involved in illegal activities to him.
