Father of 2 lands in Police net for raping neighbour’s daughter

One Mr. Erekeere Daniel of Luegbo Community in Khana local government area of Rivers State is now cooling-off at the Bori Divisional Police headquarters in the area.

Daniel was arrested for allegedly raping his twenty year old neighbour’s daughter in the community.

The suspect, a father of two we learnt, haven noticed that his female neighbour goes out very early in the morning leaving only the twenty year old daughter in the house, pretended to be looking for wheelbarrow to hire, before breaking into the house and raped the girl.

A community source told newsmen that the suspect who overpowered his victim and raped her was apprehended by neigbours who were attracted by the screaming of the girl.

One of the victim’s cousin who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident to newsmen.

When contacted, the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Grace Iringe- Koko said she was yet to get details of the incident but promised to get back to our correspondent on the matter.
