APC National Convention: Abe’s ally, Worgu Boms joins race for S’South Vice Chairman

Following the fixing of March 26, 2022 as date for the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers State , Barr Worgu Boms has thrown his hat into the ring to contest for the position of South-South vice chairman of the party.

Boms is a loyalists and a strong leader in the Senator Magnus Abe led faction of the party in Rivers State. He was attorney-general under former governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

The erudite lawyer who is also the Director General of  Freedom House, said after picking his nomination form that his ambition is to inspire a rule-based administration.

 “To serve with integrity and inspire a rule -based, law-sensitive approach to party administration, to the end that all honest -hearted party faithful shall have faith and trust in the party as the vehicle for the attainment of their legitimate political aspirations for the happiness of  Nigerians and the greatness and pride of Nigeria”, he said .
