The Rivers State University has said that its newly acquired three campuses sighted at Ahoada, Emohua and Abara, Etche in the state are ready for commissioning.
Vice chancellor of the university, Prof Nlerum Okogbule disclosed this shortly after a visit to the three campuses.
Okogbule said all the structures were all complete; adding that what was remaining now was only the landscaping and other related works.
According to him, “The structures are all complete; and what is remaining now is the landscaping and other related jobs.
“Landscaping is also 60 and 70percent done, and we are hoping that they will also be completed by the end of this month”, he said.
Okogbule said the institution has taken delivery of the buildings, adding that management was waiting for its commissioning by the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike.
He said the development would lead to massive educational opportunities across the state.
The vice chancellor said the institution was also meeting with the communities to ensure security in and around the campuses.
