Police arrest 15-year-old for defiling two minors in Rivers

The Rivers State Police says it has arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly defiling two children in Rumuodara, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State.

It was gathered that the suspect identified only as Promise, who lived in the same compound with the victims aged six and two, had defiled them by penetrating their anus.

The mother of the children, Mrs. Pius, said she discovered that the minors had been defiled after she noticed them bleeding from the anus.

Pius said the older child had revealed that the accused had threatened to kill him if he reported to anyone.

Confirming the development, the state Police spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the case is under investigation.

According to her, “Yes, the boy has been arrested and the matter transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.”
