Cultists raid residents, shops in P’Harcourt

suspected  group of  cultists numbering about fifty have allegedly attacked and robbed shop owners, and passersby around Eagle Island, Timber, Echue through the stretch of Iloabuchi, Mile 2, Diobu axis of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of the State.

It was gathered that the suspects, armed with different weapons are members of a secret cult group whose member was reportedly hacked to death last Sunday by a faction of the same cult.

Narrating the incident, an eyewitness said the cultists had invaded the area searching for rivals.

The cult members were said to have robbed people of their belongings, leaving terrified residents to scamper for safety.

Meanwhile, operatives of the tactical team of State Police Command have been deployed to restore calm and order in the area.
