A political pressure group, Rivers State Non Indigenes Group for Asiwaju (RISNIGA) has vowed to mobilise the youths, men and women with a view to delivering the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shetima in next year’s election.
RISNIGA, led by it’s National Coordinator, Dr. Prince Jones Adeleke also promised to work for the victory of the APC governorship candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole and all it’s candidates for State and National Assembly seats in Rivers State at the polls come 2023.
The group made the position at a one day summit organised in conjunction with APC Professionals Council in Port Harcourt.
Speaking at the event, National Coordinator of the group, Dr. Prince Jones Adeleke said, “RISNIGA and the APC Professionals Council announces today, collaboration meant to pursue and achieve the ascendancy of Tinubu/Shetima and Tonye Cole/Barikor as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Rivers State Governor come 2023 respectively.
“We want to use this conference to assure all the APC candidates in Rivers State contesting the National offices and the State offices that we are doing the needful to see that, come 2023 they all are elected at the polls; we know it is a long walk, but with our PVCs their victory is sure.
“This conference today is also meant to disabuse the minds of all APC members in Rivers State, that the APC National does not have support for APC Rivers State. APC Rivers State should please not fall for the gimmicks of the opponent who are using publicity to weaken the strength of the APC in Rivers State.
“Asiwaju is a dogged party man and will at no time work against his party. He is looking forward to the victory of all APC candidates in the country in 2023.”
The APC gubernatorial candidate, Tonye Cole was represented at the event by Waserite Douglas.
