Wike releases fund for repair work on Emohua-Kalabari road

The Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has approved the immediate commencement of rehabilitation work on the over 2 kilometres critical failed sections of Emohua-Kalabari Road in the state.

Dornubari Kiinee, Special Assistant Media & Documentation to the State Commissioner for Works, Dax George-Kelly Alabo who confirmed the development in a statement said the governor has released 100 percent of the fund needed for the project, and construction work will commence on Monday 31 October, 2022.

He said the reconstruction of the major road connecting Kalabari Kingdom to the rest of Rivers State will consist of both concrete (rigid) and asphaltic (flexible) pavements to prevent its dilapidation in the near future.

The project is expected to be completed in six weeks.
